Gurugram, August 18, 2025 – A dramatic incident late Sunday night has sent shockwaves across Gurugram. Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav narrowly escaped danger after his house came under heavy firing. According to early reports, three men on motorcycles opened fire outside his residence, discharging nearly 25 to 30 rounds before fleeing the scene.
Thankfully, Elvish was not at home at the time. His father confirmed that the YouTuber was away on work when the attack took place. Family members who were inside during the shooting are said to be deeply shaken by the sudden violence.
How the Attack Happened
Eyewitness accounts and police sources suggest that the attackers rode up to the residence on motorcycles, fired in quick succession, and sped off within seconds. The relentless gunshots startled neighbors and caused chaos in the area.
When police teams arrived, they recovered several empty bullet shells scattered outside the house. Forensic experts have been called in, while investigators are now reviewing CCTV footage from the locality to trace the shooters.
A Gang Steps Forward
What makes this case even more chilling is the public claim of responsibility. Shortly after the incident, a post appeared on social media from the Bhau Gang, a criminal outfit based in Haryana.
The group openly said in the communication that Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritolia told them to do the shooting. The post began with religious slogans, followed by a clear admission:
“We urged people to fire bullets at Elvish Yadav’s home.”
The brazen nature of this announcement has raised serious concerns about the growing boldness of such gangs, who now use online platforms as tools to spread fear.
Who is this Himanshu Bhau?
At the center of this controversy is Himanshu Bhau, a name that has long been associated with gang violence in Haryana.
People say that Himanshu got involved in organized crime while he was in his early twenties.
His gang’s involvement was highlighted in the Murthal murder case, where businessman Sunder Malik was pulled out of his car and shot multiple times near Gulshan Dhaba.
The Bhau Gang has been tied to extortion, shootings, and planned murders over the years.
Police believe that incidents like these are often planned not just to settle scores, but also to intimidate the public and demonstrate the gang’s power. Also Read / Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Reaffirms Zero Tolerance on Crime Amid Bhiwani Teacher’s Manisha Murder Outrage
Police Response
The Gurugram Police moved quickly, cordoning off the area and launching an extensive search operation. The Special Task Force is also assisting to find the people who shot them.
A senior officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the attack seems more like a threatening gesture rather than an attempt to kill. Police think the goal was to scare or pressure Elvish because he wasn’t there. This could have been part of a bigger extortion attempt.
Investigators are now looking into both digital and physical clues. Social media accounts linked to the gang are under scrutiny, and authorities say arrests could be made soon.
Shockwaves Among Fans
Once the news went public, Elvish’s fans took to social media to share their disbelief and anxiety over the incident. Within hours, #ElvishYadav was trending on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
Many users demanded stronger action from the Haryana government and law enforcement agencies, arguing that if someone as high-profile as Elvish could be targeted so openly, ordinary citizens must be even more vulnerable.
One fan wrote: “Elvish must be given full security. This is not just about him, but about how unsafe our cities are becoming.”
Bigger Questions Ahead
The attack on Elvish Yadav’s home has once again put a spotlight on the rise of gangster culture in Haryana. In recent years, areas around Delhi-NCR have witnessed an increase in organized crime, with gangs using both violence and social media to build their influence.
Although authorities have pledged to respond quickly, the episode begs the larger question of how long these criminal organizations will be able to operate without consequence. While safety is the top priority for Elvish and his family, the case represents a larger law-and-order issue for the whole population.
